Excellent, on time
I love this shop. the service was excellent and the quality of the produce is exceptional. I love cuts of meat that you dont often find in supermarkets. Mutton, Beef Heart, Collar bacon, etc. The courier delivered it on time and everything was chilled. The look and smell of the meat tells you that this is exceptional quality. I love the fact that they are as proud of the offal is as they are if the prime cuts. This is great for those interested in responsible meat consumption. The price is really reasonable too. You can get a blade of exceptional quality mutton for the price of a supermarket lamb shoulder. Suppliers like this are to be treasured.
We used a spicy marinade overnight and then slow roasted (7 hours) it. We rested the meat on a pile of jollof rice and when we carved it was tender but not falling apart. It has a rich flavour so a little goes a long way. I prefer this to lamb shoulder without a doubt. The fat is excellent for roasting vegetables.
We sliced this very thinly, marinated it in olive oil, oregano, lemon juice, salt and pepper. We then flash grilled it on a fiercely hot barbecue (so still blushed in the middle). We ate it with pitta bread, pickled cabbage and cucumber yogurt. This is a real treat. The other portion is going to be slow cooked in wine.
Collar is a difficult cut to get these days (in super markets at least) but it is so flavourful. This one in particular is exceptional. We had this as bacon butties on a Sunday morning. It doesn't shrink when you cook it but has a deep, rich flavour with a hint of sweetness.

Brilliant service and delivery. The meat I have tried so far is lovely and the pork is full of taste and succulent. I liked the meat so much have already ordered again including some for my father for Father’s Day ????
They still had the rind on which I haven't seen for a long time. Best bacon sandwich I've had for yonks.
Great flavour and very tender beef. I would have liked for the steaks to be a bit thicker but I'm splitting hairs there, steaks were lovely.
Bought to make pea and ham soup and the aromas as it was cooking in the stick were gorgeous! Leftovers made the most amazing sandwiches.
