I can reccommend this cut, very succulent with lots of crackling.
Although the joint I bought had lots of crackling, it was good to have some extra. Be careful how you cook it though, it burns easily
I was concerned when the delivery didn't arrive on the day it was expected. I rang Kimbers to ask where it was and they explained that the courier was very busy due to Royal Mail strikes and it would arrive the following day, which it did (eventually). My concern was that the item was perishable and should be delivered asap. Kimbers Farm agreed and offered a refund or relacement if it was spoilt when it arrived. However, I have since found out that the courier uses refrigerated vans and depots, so there was no danger of the meat getting warm. Kimbers were great, the courier not so great, altough I can understand the effect of extra work due to the the postal strike.
As always the gammon joint was superb. It’s such great quality and is hugely popular in our house over Christmas. I’ve had this for a few years now and doubtless will return again next year. Highly recommended

Traditionally grilled, subtle hint of being smoke, not salty, nice nice & lean. Forgot what proper bacon tasted like. Highly recommend this.
