Once again I bought our bird from Kimber's Farm Shop. It turned up on time, was perfectly packed, cooked as per the instructions and was great tasting. The gravy made from the juices of just the crown (and maybe helped by truffle infused butter) was sublime.

I was concerned when the delivery didn't arrive on the day it was expected. I rang Kimbers to ask where it was and they explained that the courier was very busy due to Royal Mail strikes and it would arrive the following day, which it did (eventually). My concern was that the item was perishable and should be delivered asap. Kimbers Farm agreed and offered a refund or relacement if it was spoilt when it arrived. However, I have since found out that the courier uses refrigerated vans and depots, so there was no danger of the meat getting warm. Kimbers were great, the courier not so great, altough I can understand the effect of extra work due to the the postal strike.

Order placed online - email acknowledge within minutes of order - arrived on time with over night delivery, came wrapped with ice blocks which kept it at the correct temperature, every item was in perfect condition. Would highly recommend the farm products and their first class service.
