The chickens we source are raised free-range on a local farm, where they live on grassy pastures and are allowed to grow slowly. This ensure they are moist and succulent, and that there is no shrinkage when they are cooking.

The Butcher: With natural flavour and succulence, these whole chickens are perfect for roasting and are a far cry from supermarket offerings.

In The Kitchen: Our roasting chickens are the obvious starting place for a Sunday roast, served with crispy roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. You’ll probably have some left too, with the delicious leftovers perfect for using during the week.

Rubbed in Spices, Yoghurt, Lime Juice and red (beetroot powder) food colouring and roasted in a wood fired BBQ. Lovely tasty bird which did the extended family proud. Will certainly repeat.

These chickens taste like chickens of my childhood (I'mm 66), before industrial chicken farming. They are a good size with a high meat to bone ratio, & feed 8 comfortably. I love that they come with giblets, a rarity these days. Bones & giblets make good stock, & the giblets are the cook's perk

**Exclusions apply. Unpasteurised milk is excluded from free delivery due to weight restrictions.

Please Note: Due to our shop opening hours, we can only deliver on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Non-Mainland UK and International Delivery

Delivery rates for orders from non-mainland UK addresses, including the Scottish Highlands and Islands, and Isle of Wight will be calculated at the checkout.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Our aim is to dispatch all orders placed before 1pm on the same day (Tuesday to Friday), this is dependent on whether the items ordered are in stock. Any orders placed after that time will be dispatched on the next available working day.

We will send you a notification email when your order has been dispatched. The time your order takes to arrive will depend on the delivery option you choose.

While we always try our best to dispatch every order following the above guidelines, during extremely busy periods dispatch times may increase by up to one day.

What days will my order be delivered on?

Our couriers deliver between 07.00 and 18.00 Wednesday to Saturday.

Collect in person

You are able to collect your order from our premises by choosing the relevant option at the checkout. At this point delivery charges will be removed. Please choose your date of collection at the checkout.

Refund Policy

All orders are thoroughly checked before leaving our premises. On receipt of your order we request that you check the items as soon as possible. If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, please contact us on 01963 33177 or info@kimbersfarmshop.co.uk. Please have your order number to hand when you contact us as it will allow us to find your order quickly.

Faulty/Damaged Goods

If any item you receive from us arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible on 01963 33177 or by email info@kimbersfarmshop.co.uk. We will then advise you on the best course of action.

Traditional Free Range Chicken

Our free range chickens are sourced from a local farm, Cracknell’s. Jeff and his family have been farming in a traditional sustainable way for over half a century.

All their birds are free range, having unlimited access to 22 acres of grassy Somerset pasture. Birds come onto the farm as day old chicks and remain on the farm throughout their lives. They are processed by Jeff and a small team before being delivered to us.

Cracknell’s chickens are slowly grown and therefore are naturally moist, lean and taste like chicken should do. With no additives or added water there is no shrinkage during cooking. Our customers say Jeff’s chicken tasted like chicken did when they were children.
