Our oxtail is usually provided with the bone in, and it will just fall off when slow cooked, either in a casserole or for soup. The whole cut works together to produce deep, meaty flavours.
Serves: Up to 3 people
The Butcher: The main tail bone is cut into smaller, manageable chunks that will cook slowly and evenly for the most enjoyable flavour.
In The Kitchen: Oxtail soup is a traditional favourite, combining the meat with plenty of vegetables and stock. Or why not create a hearty casserole that’s served with dumplings.

Good taste althoug almost all fat had been trimmed Reviewed by Helbert2a on 25 Feb 2021
This oxtail is of good quality, however I buy oxtail mainly for all the fat that it has, but the one I received had almost all fat removed. I have read other comments complaining about it having too much fat, so the shop should have an option for customers to choose if any fat should be trimmed.

Stunning Reviewed by Janandchas2 on 12 Feb 2021
Long and slow cooking, 4 or 5 hours at 130c completely covered with water in a large pan, will see the meat fall off the bone. One pot cooking with with potatoes and large chunks of carrot and onion doesn't get any easier or any better. The next day just add dumplings and smoked paprika to the left over stock for a fabulous goulash soup - wonderful.

Good quality, very little waste. Just cook long and slow. Old fashioned meat that has become fashionable & more pricey. Must have lots of gravy and dumplings.

Grass Fed, Free Range Aberdeen Angus Beef
Generations of farming knowledge and experience have resulted in Gold award winning beef.
Our Aberdeen Angus animals are grass fed on Somerset’s lush grassy pastures. They are free range from early spring into the autumn when the weather becomes inclement. During the winter animals are brought back to the homestead and housed in large, airy, light straw bedded barns.
Animals are hand selected by our Traditional Master Butcher, for quality and conformation. Using the expertise of small local slaughterhouses dramatically reduces stress and enhances carcass quality. 21 day naturally dry aged on the bone beef, produces marbled, extra tender and beautifully flavoured meat.
